Description:

Head Start children attend school all day on Mondays through Thursdays and engage in school readiness activities planned by their teachers. Families use weekly Home Links from teachers to reinforce and continue the learning at home. In addition, families volunteer in their child's classroom 8 hours per month, participate in Bauer's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and elect representatives to Bauer's Policy Council. Families also engage in a minimum of two home visits and two conferences with their child's teacher each year.
