I received ssi and my boyfriend does also along with ssd. We have a 2 year old son. He will be 3 June 17 2020 I went to dss because I get cash assistance for him but dont qualify through dss for help for school or daycare because of my income status. I really feel and have been told by his behavioral worker that my son should be in school would you be able to help me please?

This is a licensed Head Start Program. Head Start serves children between 3 and 4 years old.

Eligibility: Must be from a family with income levels under the poverty guidelines or parents are receiving public assistance.

Public Pre K Programs Include:
Early Head Start
For Ages birth to 5 years old. Families must meet poverty guidelines. Children from families receiving public assistance such as TANF, SSI are automatically eligible.

Early Head Start programs provide different needs dependent on the area where they are located. Most are based in centers and schools. Programs also can be home-based.

Head Start Programs
Head Start is provided by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Enrollment ages is between 3 and 4 years old. If child is 3 years old prior to Sept 1, they are eligible to apply.

Families must meet poverty guidelines. Children from families receiving public assistance such as TANF, SSI are automatically eligible.

VPK Program is a free prekindergarten program for children aged 4 to 5 years old in Florida. Most States have free programs for prekindergarten. We list these locations on PublicPrek.com.
